How long have you been skating?
I started skating when I was a little girl around the age of eight and skated some as a teenager. I was an okay skater back then. I started roller derby in 2012 and have learned so much more than I ever thought and have a lot more to learn still. 

What is your favorite thing about roller derby?
I love many things about the sport. I think the thing I love the most is how almost anyone can learn to play.

What do you do for a living?
I work as a SAHM. It's not glamorous, but it can be very rewarding at times. Although sometimes I wish that the pay was in real currency not just hugs and kisses. 

What motto do you live by?
Just do your best. I try to do the best I can and try to encourage my family to do the best they can as well.

How did you get involved in roller derby?
I saw a post on a Facebook group saying that the local team was looking for new players. I decided to go check it out. I did not have any equipment to use, so one of the girls on the team let me try hers to see if I would like it. As soon as I stood up on the skates I knew that this was something I wanted to do.

What are you looking for in a derby league?

It has to feel like family.
