Polly Phemus

How long have you been skating? Well I went to the random birthday party and field trip when I was in school, but I didn’t start regularly skating until February 2012.

What are you looking for in a derby league? Epic battles of sweaty women on wheels who I can knock down or get knocked down by and then buy beers with later.

What is your personal derby goal for this season? Be half as good as my sister Loony Luna… little beotch got more of the athletic genes from our parents. I still love her though… a little, not a lot.

Do you have a favorite derby moment? We were practicing pushes.. As I go to push another girl, much taller than me, I leaned forward and stuck my chin right in her buttcrack… I don’t know that it was my favorite moment, but I’ll sure never forget it.

What was your favorite concert? I watched this guy open for Kelly Osborne, I don’t know what his name was, but he kinda looked like Ron Jeremy and performed in tighty whiteys and buttless chaps.. It was gloriously funny.

Fav food? Anything my soon to be mother in law makes. She’s middle eastern and I can’t pronounce any of the stuff she makes me eat, but it’s usually really tasty.

Tell us something about yourself that we don’t know? I am 100% blind in one eye.. I refuse to tell you which one so that you cant try to sneak up on me from that side. My mother has graciously nicknamed me Cyclops and thus the name Polly Phemus (Polyphemus is the Cyclops from the odyssey). I also have a stone temple pilots album cover tattooed on my shoulder. I’m kind of a fan.

What do you do for a living? I’m a nurse, my main duty at my current job is to pass medications, so I guess that kind of makes me a drug dealer???

Have any pets? How many? I have a cat and a dog. They hate each other and my house becomes an epic battle of animals on occasion. I also have a pastel ball python. He’s my second child.

Who do you admire the most? In all seriousness, my mother and my sister, Loony Luna. They are the two strongest, and most kick arse girls I know. I also admire my six year old son, Liam, he’s crazy, but the most loving kid you’ll ever meet and I love being his mommy.
