About

SISTERHOOD. SKATES. EMPOWERMENT.

Founded in 2011, Confluence Roller Derby is a nonprofit organization [501(c)3] that exists to provide cis women, trans women, and/or non binary and gender expansive individuals over the age of 18 in St. Louis and the Metro East the unique opportunity to play flat track roller derby within a welcoming community that both supports skaters in their development as well as challenges them to realize their potential as athletes. We are a proud member of the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA), and are internationally ranked.

The organization is currently comprised of multiple levels of skaters, as well as dozens of skating referees, non-skating officials, jeerleaders, and other volunteers vital to our success. Read our full Mission Statement here.

Our bouts are family friendly and promise a unique entertainment experience for fans! We are working to build our 2023 season!

We are a skater-run, grassroots, nonprofit organization. Every member contributes service hours each month to help run the league, and we all share in its success. We are amateur athletes who pay to play and support our team by holding fundraisers and securing sponsors. We are also dedicated to giving back to the community, helping to raise money for and donating time to area charities. You can also find us cleaning up a stretch of IL 159 in Madison County, and taking donations to area food pantries and animal shelters.

Skaters practice 2-4 times a week, in addition to training outside of practice. The majority of our practices take place in Troy, IL although it’s not uncommon to find our skaters getting in some extra laps at rinks around the area. We welcome skaters of all skill levels, from beginner to advanced, to join us. We provide training, as well as a community who will embrace you for you! Roller derby provides challenges and the opportunity to develop skills like event planning, fundraising, and working as part of a team. We are also always seeking skating and non-skating officials, open gender, as well as jeerleaders and other volunteers. Learn more about Women's Flat Track Roller Derby here!
